Client: An established building services contractor specialising in mechanical and electrical installations across the commercial construction and fit-out sectors across London. With a portfolio of projects across London and the wider commercial market, the company continues to deliver technically challenging schemes in collaboration with leading clients such as Structure Tone, Overbury and Parkeray. Role: Senior MEP Project Manager - Central London - £400-£500 per day or PAYE equivalent The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a £10M M&E package within their own discipline, reporting into an Operations Director. Key to this role is managing the project; ensuring it is completed on time, to a high quality and within budget. Responsibilities: Tender review/validation Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants) Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant Technical submittals RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors Value Engineering where applicable Programming of works Health & Safety management (RAMs) Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey. Management of variations Team Coordination (overseeing engineers, construction managers and supervisors) Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings Overseeing commissioning stages Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover The ideal candidate: Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment Experience working in the commercial sector Experience managing projects to a minimum of £5 within your own discipline A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Structure Tone, Overbury and Parkeray In return they offer: A healthy pipeline of work The opportunity to move up the management ladder A very competitive salary or day rate
