Client: My client has established themselves as one of the UK’s premier M&E contractors. Following their formation almost 75 years ago, they have grown their turnover to over £300m per annum. The business boasts an envious track record of delivering some of the UK’s and London’s landmark projects. Typically they specialise in major shell and core projects in sectors such as commercial offices, healthcare, pharmaceutical and education. Despite their size, this Tier 1 M&E Contractor has fantastic staff retention rates with a reputation for looking after their staff. They offer excellent exposure and internal training schemes with a hands-on approach to developing their staff.
Role: Mechanical Supervisor Central London £280 - £320 per day. The project is a commercial refurbishment of a 1980's building circa £20m+ MEP. Works will include shell & core to Cat A. Programme length 1 year+.
Duties include:
- Management of sub-contractors and labour
- Client liaison and attend site meetings
- Progress Reporting
- Responsible for all health & safety at site level including the preparation and issuing of RAMS & tool box talks where appropriate
- Weekly H&S Returns
- Project & programme implementation
- Understanding of design & drawings
- Continuous snagging to minimise defects & errors
- Work with the Project Manager to manage the commissioning process and handover of the project
The ideal candidate:
- Progressed from a tools background and have good technical knowledge of mechanical services
- Experience working in the commercial sector (shell & core)
- SSSTS/SMSTS Qualified
