Senior Mechanical Project Manager in Leicester

Client: Our client is a leading Mechanical & Electrical contractor operating in London and the home counties. Having been established for 20 years they benefit from a large amount of repeat business. They pride themselves on being able to deliver technically, logistically challenging and fast-paced schemes. With a turnover in excess of £50M they operate in Commercial Office, Public sectors and high end residential. Their clients included: Galliford Try, British Land, Mace and Sir Robert McAlpine, to name a few. Role: Senior Mechanical Project Manager - Leicester - £80,000 to £100,000 or Day Rate Equivalent Project is a new build prison circa £18M MEP, which will run over an 80 week programme. Duties include: * Tender review/validation * Preconstruction stages * Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants) * Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant * Technical submittals * RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors * Value Engineering where applicable * Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project * Health & Safety management (RAMs) * Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey. * Management of variations * Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors) * Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings * Overseeing commissioning stages * Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover The ideal candidate: * Experience managing projects to a minimum of £5m within your own discipline * A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role In return they offer: * A healthy pipeline of work * Join a stable business who have an excellent staff attrition rate. * A competitive salary and package
