With a turnover over £10 million and working towards a £30m turnover over the next 3 years, the business delivers high-quality MEP projects ranging from £1m to £5m across commercial, education, residential, healthcare and mixed-use sectors. Known for their technical capabilities and client-first ethos, the company is now strategically expanding its London division!
Following the recent appointment of a highly respected Managing Director, the business is entering an exciting new phase and is looking for an ambitious Intermediate MEP Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
The Opportunity:
As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of projects from inception through to final account. You will work closely with the commercial and project delivery teams to ensure robust cost control, contractual compliance, and successful financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the commercial management of multiple projects
- Preparing and managing cost plans, valuations, and forecasts
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Supporting the procurement and management of subcontract packages
- Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor accounts
- Assisting with the preparation and agreement of interim applications and final accounts
- Maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting
- Supporting contract administration and ensuring contractual compliance
- Liaising with project teams, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
Candidate Requirements
- Ideally degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
- 2–4 years' MEP Quantity Surveying experience
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Full right to work in the UK
