The Role

As Interior Designer, you will play an important part in the design of Cat A and Cat B commercial fit-outs, developing space plans and design concepts and taking them through to detailed drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop space plans and design concepts for Cat A and Cat B interiors in response to client briefs.

  • Support client presentations and turn feedback into practical design solutions.
  • Liaise with suppliers and site teams to deliver on time and within budget.
  • Prepare design material for pitches and tenders, often to tight deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, technical designers and the visualisation team.
  • Ensure designs are technically sound, buildable and aligned with budget.
  • Maintain accurate project information and keep the team updated on design progress.
  • Stay informed on workplace design trends, materials and best practice.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Previous commercial interior design experience is essential, ideally within a design and build or workplace environment.
  • Experience of Cat A and Cat B fit-out projects.
  • Good technical skill with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, with confidence supporting client presentations.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.

Personal Attributes

  • Creative, articulate and detail-oriented.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, proactive approach with good problem-solving skills.
  • Keen to learn and develop within a design-led business.
