We are looking for a confident and competent Low Voltage and High Voltage Authorised Person (HV/LVAP) to join one of the UK’s leading M&E contractors, supporting the delivery of major, mission-critical projects including data centres, healthcare, and large-scale commercial schemes.

You will be based on a large commercial new build in the City of London, totalling £25m MEP. Responsible for managing low voltage systems safely and efficiently, ensuring that all works are carried out under correct permit-to-work procedures, isolations, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Low Voltage Authorised Person (LVAP) on large-scale construction and fit-out projects.
  • Issue and manage Permits to Work, ensuring full compliance with safety procedures.
  • Coordinate and control isolations, energisation, and switching operations on LV systems.
  • Implement and manage safe systems of work for all LV activities.
  • Review and approve RAMS related to low voltage electrical operations.
  • Identify design clashes or scope gaps related to LV infrastructure.
  • Work closely with delivery teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure safety and programme alignment.
  • Liaise with H&S teams and project leads to ensure zero harm environments.
  • Maintain documentation and logs related to LV permit systems and authorisation.
  • Participate in progress and coordination meetings.
About You
  • HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (electrical bias).
  • Must hold the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or engineering role on M&E or construction projects.
  • Must hold AP certificates.
