I am seeking a strong Document Controller to join a specialist refurbishment and fit-out contractor based in Monument delivering high-quality commercial fit-out, Cat A/Cat B tenant work for commercial office fit-out, internal/external EPC upgrades and modernisation of industrial warehousing. They need a Document Controller to start in January to join the team and support the pre-construction and project delivery functions. You will manage and control all project documentation, ensuring that drawings, specifications, records and communications are accurate, up-to-date and accessible to the relevant stakeholders. Although this is a new year start, they are actively interviewing to organise themselves for the busy year ahead. Key Responsibilities * Maintain and manage document control systems for live projects: track drawings, specifications and records. * Ensure correct version control and distribution of documents (internal teams, subcontractors, clients). * Upload and manage data within project portals or document management systems. * Serve as a point of contact for the flow of documentation and information between the pre-construction team, project managers and external stakeholders. * Monitor document deadlines, archive completed project documentation and support project handovers. * Provide administrative support to project teams: scheduling, meeting minutes, filing, and other ad-hoc tasks as required. Skills & Experience * Previous experience in document control or administrative roles; ideally within construction, fit out or refurbishment environments. * Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail. * Familiarity with document management systems or ability to quickly adopt new tools. * Good communication skills and ability to liaise across internal teams and external parties. * Competency in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, Outlook). * Self-motivated and proactive mindset, able to prioritise tasks in a busy project-based environment.
