A leading international consultancy is delivering a major mission critical development in West London and is looking to appoint an experienced MEP Lead to oversee the successful delivery of a large-scale data centre scheme. This is a senior site leadership role reporting directly into the Project Director, acting as the lead for all MEP activities across a technically complex, fast-paced project environment.

  • Major hyperscale data centre development
  • Circa £500m total project value
  • Multi-phase programme with long-term delivery pipeline

The Role

Reporting into the Project Director, you will take ownership of the overall MEP delivery strategy from preconstruction through commissioning and handover. You will lead coordination across all mechanical, electrical and public health packages while managing key stakeholders across design, commercial, planning and construction teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overall MEP delivery and integration with CSA works
  • Driving programme, sequencing and package coordination
  • Managing technical risk and design development
  • Supporting procurement strategy and subcontractor management
  • Leading commissioning planning and energisation strategy
  • Ensuring quality assurance and technical compliance standards
  • Managing client, consultant and supply chain relationships
  • Providing leadership across Technical Services and project delivery teams
  • Acting as a key member of the senior project leadership team

This is a delivery-focused leadership role requiring strong operational capability and experience managing large-scale MEP packages within complex construction environments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering major MEP packages on large-scale projects
  • Mission critical or data centre experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of commissioning, testing and energisation processes
  • Experience working within a main contractor or major delivery environment
  • Strong preconstruction and technical coordination background
  • Excellent subcontractor and stakeholder management capability
