We’re currently working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor on a major hyperscale data centre project in London, and they’re looking to appoint an experienced MEP Project Director to lead the MEP delivery function. This is a senior opportunity for someone with a strong track record delivering complex MEP projects at significant scale, with responsibility across pre-construction, procurement, design, delivery, commissioning and handover.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the MEP team and providing overall technical direction
- Ownership of MEP programme, quality, commissioning, H&S and delivery
- Managing client, consultant and specialist subcontractor relationships
- Supporting work winning, tendering and technical/commercial strategy
- Overseeing procurement, design coordination and package delivery
- Driving commissioning, IST and project close-out
- Managing senior teams and ensuring strong project performance
- Identifying and mitigating programme, commercial and technical risks
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong MEP project leadership experience within a Tier 1/main contractor environment
- Proven delivery experience on major, complex projects
- Experience with £50m+ MEP packages
- Strong commissioning and technical delivery knowledge
- Excellent stakeholder and team leadership skills
- Data centre experience highly desirable
