Location: London

Client: We are working on behalf of a specialist MEP contractor who has operated within the London market for more than 20+ years. With an annual turnover in excess of £35m, they specialise within the commercial sector with some interface with other sectors such as education and healthcare; undertaking a mixture of new build, fit out and refurbishment projects. They have just been brought by a renowned Director who has aspirations to take the business from its £35m turnover to a £100m+ turnover contractor through natural progression. Boasting a robust balance sheet and an established client base, they have cemented themselves as a key MEP supplier for multiple London contractors. Typically, their projects are between £3m-£14m MEP value.

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will take a lead role in the procurement process and ensure all Subcontracts are placed correctly with the appropriate Main Contract Terms included.
  • You will oversee and manage the production of the variation account and the agreement process with the Client.
  • Be responsible for compiling monthly project cost reports and the presentation of this to the clients, internal & external stakeholders.
  • An ability to build relationships with your project team and clients is a must.
  • You will need to be a good communicator, self-motivated, and be comfortable with multi-tasking and working to deadlines.
  • Experience with production of cost plans, and full M&E Tenders for projects would be a benefit.
  • As a Senior Surveyor you will be responsible for managing other Surveyors of varying levels and provide support and training in order to develop their abilities and understanding.

The ideal candidate:

  • Will have a minimum of 6 to 8 years’ experience of running M&E projects.
  • Professionally qualified surveyor or you will hold technical M or E qualifications and be able to demonstrate appropriate surveying experience in a similar role.
