Client: My client has established themselves as one of the UK’s premier M&E contractors. Following their formation almost 75 years ago, they have grown their turnover to over £200m per annum. The business boasts an envious track record of delivering some of the UK’s and London’s landmark projects. Typically they specialise in major shell and core projects in sectors such as commercial offices, healthcare, pharmaceutical and education. Despite their size, this Tier 1 M&E Contractor has fantastic staff retention rates with a reputation for looking after their staff. They offer excellent exposure and internal training schemes with a hands-on approach to developing their staff.
Role: Mechanical Construction Manager - C.London - £325-£350 per day
Project: A commercial refurbishment with laboratory space circa £30+ million MEP. 12 month project.
Responsibilities:
- Design Review (scope gaps / clashes)
- Short term programming
- Health & Safety (RAMS)
- Technical Submissions
- Preparation/issuing RFIs
- Sub-contractor coordination
- Management of commissioning stages
- Quality Assurance – using tablet software
- Liaising with client team, main contractor and sub-contractors
- Progress meetings with sub-contractors, professional teams and client
