An established MEP consultancy delivering innovative building services solutions across the commercial, residential, education, healthcare and leisure sectors is seeking an Associate Director Electrical Engineer to play a key leadership role within the business. This position offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of complex electrical building services projects, manage and develop engineering teams, build strong client relationships and contribute to the strategic growth of a highly respected consultancy known for its technical excellence and commitment to sustainable design.
As an Associate Director Electrical Engineer, you will take a leading role in the delivery of high-profile projects, working within multidisciplinary MEP teams to provide technical expertise, project leadership and client-focused solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing electrical design from feasibility through to construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee electrical building services design across multiple projects.
- Manage feasibility studies, concept design, detailed design, specifications and construction support activities.
- Act as the primary client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Manage project delivery, including technical quality, programme, commercial performance and resource planning.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and line management to engineers and junior team members.
- Support business development activities and identify opportunities for new and repeat work.
- Promote sustainable design principles, digital engineering and innovative solutions across projects.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Significant experience in UK electrical building services design.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
- Experience managing client relationships and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Sound knowledge of relevant UK standards, regulations and industry best practice.
- Ability to manage project budgets, programmes and technical delivery.
