Commissioning Manager

Client: My client is one of the UK\’s leading main contractors that specialises in several sectors including commercial, education, data centres, healthcare and retail. With a traditional engineering mindset and reinvestment into new principals, the business has an annual turnover in excess of £400M, operating nationwide. They are at the forefront for some of the countries newest projects and innovative sectors.

Role: M&E Commissioning Lead– Salary: £550 – £650

The successful candidate will be working on a hyperscale data centre for one of the leading MEP/Data Centre contractors in the country. They have a long term relationship with the end user which has led to repeat business for many years.

Role/Responsibilities:

• To manage, lead and coordinate projects in all matters relating to Commissioning Management and Validation for mechanical, public health, BEMS and controls and all building engineering specialist engineering services.
• To manage, lead and coordinate all matters relating to those specific sites from Commissioning Management and Validation perspective.
• To manage the Commissioning Management and Validation Services as required by the Business Assurance Scheme (QA)
• To be responsible for all aspects of site safety for yourself and others including risk assessment, method statements.

The ideal candidate:

• Will be computer literate, happy to interact with client and get stuck in on site
• Experience working in the commercial or data centre sector
• Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISg, Mace, Wates, etc.
• Have the right forward-thinking attitude
