Client: Working throughout several sectors including commercial, residential, education, the business has seen a significant amount of growth again in the last 12 months. With a traditional engineering mindset and reinvestment into new principals, the business expects 20226 turnover to be in the region of £250M. They have recently secured several major schemes in London. Project: Working closely with a renowned main contractor our client has successfully negotiated a large commercial office refurbishment, consisting of the strip out to the shell and core and then a full fit out to CAT B spec. This starts earlier next year and will run for over 12 months. As a result, the business is seeking to expand their operations team. Electrical Project Manager – Salary up to £80,000 – £90,000 + Travel + Pension + Healthcare + Discretionary Bonus Role: Based in London the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a £10 – £15M package within their discipline; depending on size and complexity. Reporting to a project director the position will be supported by a team of engineers and supervisors. Projects are large scale residential and commercial positions. You will be expected to take the project from pre construction through to handover. Relationship management, team coordination and project reporting are key to this position. Role/Responsibilities: * Tender review/validation * Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants) * Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant * Technical submittals * RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors * Value Engineering where applicable * Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project * Health & Safety management (RAMs) * Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey. * Management of variations * Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors) * Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings * Overseeing commissioning stages * Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover The ideal candidate: * Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment * Experience managing projects to a minimum of £2M within your own discipline * A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role * Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Structuretone, Lend Lease, Sir Robert McAlpine and Mace. * The candidate will show longevity in previous employment In return they offer: * A healthy pipeline of work * Join a stable business who have an excellent staff attrition rate. * A very competitive basic salary and package * Realistic development and promotion opportunity
