As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be working closely with the Engineering Team and carry out daily mechanical & electrical maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out in line with appropriate Health & Safety instructions and site policies.
Client details: One of the UK's largest food manufacturers with over 13,000 employees across 16 sites. Our client has a strong presence in poultry, chilled and bakery, and is known for working with popular brands.
Responsibilities:
- You will be required to carry out daily mechanical and electrical maintenance on machinery and production equipment.
- Ensure the work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations using Safe Systems of Work.
- Proactively look for new, improved ways of working.
- Proposing corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off pattern, 4 Days and 4 Nights.
Profile / Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering techniques.
- Knowledge of site services, CIP, refrigeration, steam boilers, water and effluent monitoring are desirable but not essential.
- NVQ Level 3 Qualified at a minimum.
- Experience of working in reactive maintenance roles.
- Strong interpersonal skills: a team player who is prepared to support fellow engineers and can also develop good relationships with colleagues in departments across the business.
