Description
Finance Manager responsibilities include;
- Lead, develop, and motivate the finance team of 5.
- Oversee the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring strong financial controls and compliance with procedures.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and financial commentary.
- Manage month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and wider financial planning activities.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to improve performance and provide meaningful financial analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, controls, and systems.
- Manage key external relationships, including auditors, HMRC, and other professional stakeholders.
- Support statutory reporting, year-end audit processes, and VAT compliance across multiple entities.
Profile
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Proven experience managing a Finance team.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
- Excellent Excel skills and confidence analysing large volumes of financial data.
- Experience with VAT returns and liaising with external stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to build relationships across non-finance teams.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes and driving efficiencies.
Job Offer
- Salary between £55,000 and £65,000, dependent on the level of experience.
