Your day-to-day will involve providing expert advice, managing compliance tasks, and ensuring the smooth running of VAT-related processes. Client Details Our client is a top 10 accountancy firm based in Gatwick. Description Take ownership of the firm's VAT and PSA compliance processes, including the preparation, submission and settlement of returns. Manage VAT and PSA reconciliations, ensuring compliance activities are accurately reviewed, authorised and documented. Act as the primary point of contact for VAT and PSA queries, delivering training and guidance to colleagues across the business. Maintain compliance with changing tax legislation, updating internal processes, controls, guidance and training materials as required. Support HMRC enquiries, audits, SAO reviews and wider tax governance activities, identifying and escalating compliance risks where appropriate. Provide specialist tax support on complex matters, including relocation and secondment expense reviews, while promoting responsible tax practices aligned to the firm's tax strategy.Profile A successful VAT Assistant Manager should have: ATT or CTA qualified. Strong technical knowledge & experience of VAT compliance. Experience in a professional services environment. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
