About Our Client

We are working with a small independent day school for children aged 4-19 years old. Providing support to those with a diagnosis of autism.

Job Description

• Carry out teaching sessions with pupils

• Record programme data as instructed by the Class Leader

• Work towards full time 1:1 teaching and keyworker responsibilities

• Supervise indoor and outdoor playtime and lunch on a rota basis

• Participate in staff meetings and training

• To provide personal care to those pupils who require assistance (toileting, nappy changing and feeding)

• Work as part of the classroom team providing support and instruction to children with autism and related communication disorders

The Successful Applicant

• Patience and excellent communication skills are essential

• Believe in promoting independence

• Happy to be involved with physical activities including swimming, cycling, trampolining and horse riding

• Ideally have worked within an education or support worker environment

• Permanent contract

• 42 Weeks/Year

• 38.25 Hours/Week

• £23,368 pa
