Description
AR Manager responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring priorities are effectively coordinated and team objectives are consistently achieved
- Take ownership of the invoicing cycle, ensuring billing is processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with agreed customer arrangements
- Administer contractual billing changes, including renewals, pricing reviews, account amendments, credits, and terminations
- Assess customer agreements and commercial documentation to ensure billing accuracy, correct revenue recognition, and adherence to agreed terms
- Oversee sales ledger activities, including reconciliations, cash posting, payment processing, and investigation of account discrepancies
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to resolve invoice-related issues and improve cash conversion
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes, strengthen controls, and improve the overall efficiency of billing and receivables operations
- Lead month-end accounts receivable activities, ensuring reconciliations, controls, and reporting are completed within agreed deadlines
- Ensure all activities are carried out in line with internal procedures, financial regulations, and best practice standards, while supporting wider finance initiatives when required
- Other ad hoc tasks as required
Profile
A successful AR Manager should have:
- Previous experience within Accounts Receivable, Billing, Revenue Operations, or Sales Ledger
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate finance teams
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident using ERP, finance, and CRM systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Solid understanding of core financial controls, reconciliations, and accounts receivable
