A superb opportunity for a S/NAM to join a leading World Food Distributor to head up a £35m P&L portfolio of brands into Tesco's. With category captaincy, you'll partner with Buyers on leveraging existing brands as well as landing new consumer led opportunities for world brands.
An established world food distributor who have representing brands from around the world (Eastern Europe to Asia) for over 25yrs, driving brands into the UK retailers. They've been hugely successful and have deep, trusted relationships with the grocers and beyond. As a business they have B-Corp status which they're hugely proud of and live their values of sustainability. Description
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to meet sales targets and drive growth within Tesco
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key Buyer stakeholders
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities, providing actionable insights to optimise performance
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, supply chain, and finance to ensure seamless account management
- Negotiate contracts and promotional plans with Tesco to maximise profitability
- Monitor and report on account performance, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
- Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may impact account performance
- Represent the company at key Tesco meetings and events, maintaining a professional and positive image.
Profile
- Alignment with Values, Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with strong attention to detail and resourcefulness
- Demonstrable P&L ownership of a key retailer / grocery account
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical capability with experience using retail data sources (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, or retailer data).
Preferred
- Experience managing a Tesco account
- Knowledge of World Foods and/or Central/Eastern European grocery categories
- Passion for food, culture, and consumer trends.
- Experience working with international suppliers and cross-border sourcing
Job Offer
- Competitive salary ranging from £65-£70,000
- Hybrid working model offering flexibility - preferably 1-2 days in Surrey

Seeking an experienced and commercially astute National Account Manager (NAM) to lead and grow a Central European portfolio within Tesco.
Tesco represents over a third of sales, this role is pivotal in driving category growth and profitability. You will own the Central European Joint Business Plan (JBP), manage full P&L accountability, and strengthen the position as category captain in World Foods, ensuring Tesco's partnership remains of choice in the Central European category.
You’ll work closely with the Account Director, Sales Director, Category Manager, and Commercial Team to develop new category opportunities and deliver sustainable growth.
