Description
Joining as Tax Senior Manager / Director Designate within this Exeter based firm of accountants, the role offers a clear career progression and development path. You will take on compliance and accounts/tax planning for a wide range of clients and will also deliver a wide range of complex planning projects as key support across the firm. You will manage, lead and develop the wider team providing key support, reviewing work, mentoring, and supporting their development. You will also take a lead on their growing property sector division advising on project work across:
- Minimising capital taxes by applying reliefs such as principle private residence relief, annual exemptions, entrepreneurs’ relief, incorporation relief, and business property relief.
- Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) – understanding which rates apply.
- Capital allowances, for example, during refurbishment.
- Maximising recoverable Value Added Tax (VAT).
- Inheritance tax planning.
- Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings (ATED).
- Non domicile property tax issues.

Profile
For this Tax Senior Manager / Director Designate role, you will be any combination of CTA / ATT / ACA / ACCA etc qualified, with a career background in accounting/tax, with significant tax advisory and planning experience to complement your compliance background. Ideally, you will have property tax experience and/or a clear demonstrable interest in this sector. Your experience will have been gained within an accountancy practice firm environment of any size, or a specialist tax firm environment, and you will be an existing Managerial/Senior Managerial/Associate Director etc level professional. You will be searching for a career move, where you can progress within a leading, chartered accountancy firm.
Job Offer
