This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to become part of the Senior Leadership Team, driving employee engagement, performance, cultural change, and employee relations within a fast-paced environment.

As the HR Manager, you'll work closely with the General Manager and Senior Management Team to help shape the future of the business. This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll influence organisational performance, employee engagement, and workforce capability while leading a critical HR turnaround programme.

You'll also become part of a wider HR community across Europe, giving you the opportunity to collaborate on broader initiatives, share best practice, and contribute to the success of a global organisation while maintaining autonomy at site level.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver the site's HR transformation and recovery agenda
  • Drive improvements in employee engagement, accountability, flexibility, and attendance
  • Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, organisational design, succession planning, and change management
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, reward, payroll, and employee relations
  • Build strong relationships with union representatives and employee forums, ensuring positive labour relations and legal compliance
  • Lead, coach, and develop the local HR team
  • Collaborate with regional and international HR colleagues to share best practice and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and company policies

Profile

As the HR Manager you will have:

  • Previous HR leadership experience within a manufacturing/production/industrial environment
  • Strong labour relations expertise, including experience working with trade unions
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law
  • Proven experience leading organisational change and business transformation initiatives
  • Previous people management experience, with the ability to develop and motivate teams
  • A practical, hands-on approach combined with strong strategic thinking capability
  • Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
