We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Supply Manager to own end-to-end demand planning, supply management, and outsourced logistics relationships across the business. This role sits at the centre of the supply chain, working closely with sales, finance, and warehouse partners to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time, while managing the day-to-day performance of our outsourced 3PL and 4PL logistics partners.

My client based in Gloucestershire are a relatively young business, going through a huge period of growth and are looking to bolster their leadership team to help drive the site forward.

Description

Manage procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services. Coordinate with suppliers to maintain strong relationships and address any issues promptly. Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability to meet operational demands. Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Analyse supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organisational policies. Collaborate with internal teams to align supply chain processes with business objectives. Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance to senior management.

Hybrid - Onsite 1/2 days/week

Profile

You will be an experienced Supply Chain/Demand Planning Manager ideally from a manufacturing background, along with:

  • Proven experience in demand planning, supply chain, or supply management
  • Demonstrable experience managing outsourced 3PL and/or 4PL logistics partners, including running scorecards and holding partners to agreed service levels
  • Experience running or contributing to a formal S&OP process
  • Line management experience, with the ability to direct, support, and develop a junior team member
  • Strong stock and inventory management experience, including forecasting, replenishment planning, and stock reconciliation
  • Numerically confident and financially literate, comfortable managing COGS, invoices, and cost data
  • Experience with international trade documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists) is desirable
  • High attention to detail with a process-driven, methodical, and structured approach
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, able to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities
  • Confident user of Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with warehouse management systems and Business Central is an advantage
  • Clear, professional, and confident communication skills, with the credibility to manage senior supplier and partner relationships
