Description

  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Prepare financial reports and present insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Process accruals, prepayments, and journal entries as required.
  • Assist with VAT returns and compliance reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation.
  • Support the wider Accounting & Finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects.

Profile

  • A relevant qualification or working towards one (e.g., AAT, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • An understanding of financial reporting and analysis within the retail industry.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
