Description
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports and present insights to support strategic decisions.
- Process accruals, prepayments, and journal entries as required.
- Assist with VAT returns and compliance reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Support the wider Accounting & Finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects.
Profile
- A relevant qualification or working towards one (e.g., AAT, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- An understanding of financial reporting and analysis within the retail industry.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
