The role of Management Accountant involves overseeing financial reporting and analysis within the industrial sector. This is a challenging role working closely with the group, overseeing monthly management accounts, the full P&L and balance sheet reconciliations. You will also be partnering with commercial teams around the business.

Responsibilities
- Ownership of the month-end close process, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting
- Production of monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary
- Preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with operational stakeholders
- Business partnering with site and operational management to provide financial support and insight
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
- Supporting external audit processes and liaising with Group finance
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
- A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW)
- Proven experience in management accounting, ideally within an SME environment
- The ability to work proactively and on your own initiative, identifying opportunities to add value
- The resilience and organisation skills to thrive in a busy role with tight deadlines
This role is based 3 days per week in the office near Sittingbourne in Kent and 2 days from home, so please ensure this location is viable for you for 3 days per week before applying. Must drive to get to location.
