We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join a busy manufacturing operation, ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of production machinery and site electrical systems. This hands-on role involves fault finding, preventative maintenance, installations, and repairs to maximise uptime and support efficient factory operations. Description Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and industrial machinery across the site. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on production equipment and factory systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Support the maintenance and repair of motors, conveyors, control panels, and associated electrical equipment. Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and new machinery installations. Ensure all electrical work complies with current regulations, codes, and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs. Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to improve operational performance. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and efficiency. Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by management.Profile The Successful Candidate: Qualified electrician with relevant electrical engineering qualifications or apprenticeship training. Previous experience working as a Maintenance Electrician within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment. Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation. Experience maintaining industrial machinery and production equipment. Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment would be advantageous but is not essential. Proactive and methodical approach to maintenance activities.
