My client, operating in the Not-for-Profit sector, are looking for a Head of Finance & Resources to join them immediately for a period of c. 6 months. Reporting into the Chief Executive, you will be a valued member of the SLT and will manage a small team.
Description
- Lead the financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
- Prepare management accounts, statutory accounts and financial reports for senior leaders and trustees.
- Monitor financial performance, identify risks, and recommend actions to maintain long-term financial sustainability.
- Manage cashflow, treasury activities, funding arrangements, and relationships with auditors, bankers and financial service providers.
- Manage the finance team, offering support and guidance where needed.
- Manage payroll processes.
- Contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, helping shape organisational strategy and performance.

Profile
- Fully Qualified (ACCA / ACA / CIMA / CIPFA)
- Extensive experience of working within the Not-for-Profit sector and an understanding of the nuances and regulations around Housing Associations / Charities or Educational institutions
- Previous experience of working at a Head of Finance level, with experience of being a member of the SLT and adding commercial and strategic value
- Experience of managing small teams
- A calm and level-headed approach with excellent stakeholder management skills
- The ability to start this role by 10th August at the absolute latest to allow for a handover
