As an Accounts Assistant you will handle day-to-day finance administration to keep accounting records organised and up to date within the construction industry. You will work as part of the Accounting & Finance department, helping the business maintain clear and accurate financial information.

Description
- Processing purchase ledger invoices through web-based systems and matching them against purchase orders.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain supporting documentation and approvals.
- Assisting with month-end reconciliations.
- Communicating with site foremen to confirm operatives are booked for work.
- Supporting payroll processing and maintaining subcontractor ledgers.
- Managing a shared finance mailbox.
- Processing weekly subcontractor payments.
- Processing PAYE and CIS payments.
Profile
- Experience handling routine accounts administration and financial records.
- AAT Qualified (beneficial)
- Strong attention to detail when checking and updating financial information.
- Confidence working with finance documents and maintaining organised files.
- Ability to manage day-to-day tasks accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Clear written and verbal communication when responding to finance queries.
- A practical and organised approach to supporting an Accounting & Finance team.
