Description

  • Oversee and manage the full payroll cycle, ensuring accurate processing across all employee groups.
  • Keep payroll data, monthly inputs, and statutory records up to date and well‑organised.
  • Partner with external payroll providers, reviewing outputs and monitoring service quality.
  • Handle payroll queries and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
  • Work with HR and Finance on reconciliations, reporting, and payroll‑related tasks.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end payroll activities.
  • Assist with personnel cost tracking, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Provide payroll information for audits and internal reviews.
  • Help maintain payroll processes, documentation, and procedural updates.

Profile

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Payroll / Payroll Specialist role.
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll rules and statutory reporting.
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers.
  • Confident handling payroll‑related reporting and data analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills and good overall system proficiency.
  • Highly organised, detail‑driven, and comfortable working to deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands‑on approach.
