Description

  • Preparing monthly management accounts.
  • Reporting monthly accounts to the board.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to allocate project costing, update and report monthly.
  • Work closely with other departments using centralised financial data.
  • Create scenarios, forecasts and models to help management make informed business decisions.
  • Update weekly and monthly cash flows.
  • Acting as a key finance member while also working closely with the MD & other departments.
  • A commercially astute outlook whilst being able to maintain the finance function.
  • Excellent time management and an ability to be able to hit strict deadlines each month for reporting purposes.
  • Excellent people skills and be able to create good relationships with the whole business as well as the finance team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be a crucial cog between finance and all other departments to help present and report accurate information so the business can make informed decisions.
  • Ensure weekly and monthly reporting deadlines are hit.
  • Provide guidance to management and give constructive feedback from a financial perspective.

Profile

A successful Commercial Accountant should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification or equivalent education in accounting and finance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
