An opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of treasury operations, payment processes, and financial reporting within a fast-paced, multi-entity organisation. This role combines operational finance with business partnering, supporting cash management, financial controls, and working capital while collaborating with internal stakeholders across finance, HR, procurement, and shared service functions.

I have partnered with a global multi million pound turnover business in Runcorn within the healthcare industry as they are expanding part of their financial accounting team.

Description

  • Manage treasury operations, including daily cash positioning, bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and working capital monitoring.
  • Oversee corporate banking activities, payment processing, banking administration, user access controls, and financial governance.
  • Support foreign currency and intercompany activities, ensuring accurate accounting and reconciliation of related transactions.
  • Act as the primary finance contact for payroll accounting, reviewing payroll journals, employment cost allocations, and resolving payroll-related financial queries.
  • Contribute to month-end and period-end close activities through accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Build effective working relationships with finance, HR, procurement, shared service teams, banking partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements while identifying opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and analyse financial information to support business decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Profile

  • Experience within treasury, financial accounting, or corporate finance functions.
  • Strong understanding of cash management, banking operations, financial controls, and payroll accounting.
  • Experience working within multi-entity and/or multi-currency environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting reporting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, banking platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
  • A proactive approach to improving financial processes and controls.
