Warehouse Supervisor in Rotherham

A truly exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a small but growing manufacturer as they enter their next phase of growth. Client Details My client is a growing UK business who have recently opened a new site in Rotherham. They are looking to bring an innovative product range to an expanding market and are seeking to recruit a Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to help strengthen their operation. Description This Warehouse Supervisor position doesn't manage a team directly but will liaise with all other departments and have direct responsibility for Goods In/Out, Booking stock in on the ERP system, and Forklift Truck operations across site. Key responsibilities include: Overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and logistics function. Ensure all materials and finished goods are received, stored, handled and dispatched safely and efficiently. Plan and coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound collections to support the production plan and customer requirements. Ensure materials are available to production when required and that finished goods are prepared and ready for dispatch in line with agreed delivery dates. Maintain accurate stock records and ensure all stock movements are correctly recorded within the ERP system. Carry out and coordinate regular stock counts and investigate any stock discrepancies. Ensure all lifting equipment, forklifts and other warehouse equipment are operated safely and that required inspections and checks are completed. Work closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality and other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the factory. Profile Successful candidates will be experienced in warehouse operations and will be able to demonstrate: Previous experience working within a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment. Experience of supervising or coordinating warehouse activities. Good understanding of stock control and inventory management. Experience of organising inbound and outbound logistics. Comfortable using an ERP/stock management system to maintain accurate stock and logistics records. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Counterbalance and Narrow Aisle Forklift Truck licenses preferred. Practical and hands-on approach to problem solving. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and developing manufacturing environment. As this is a developing business, we are looking for someone with a practical "can do" approach who is comfortable getting involved in day-to-day activities as well as supervising the function.
