Description
- Review finance processes and controls to identify areas that need clearer documentation or improvement.
- Maintain risk and control records, ensuring information is accurate, current and easy to access.
- Track agreed actions and follow up with relevant colleagues to support timely completion.
- Prepare clear reports and updates on key risks, controls and outstanding actions.
- Support the development of practical control guidance for Accounting & Finance processes.
- Help test the effectiveness of existing controls and record findings in a structured way.
- Work with finance colleagues to understand process changes and reflect them in risk documentation.
- Provide organised analysis that supports consistent risk and controls oversight.
Profile
- Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and performance tracking, with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using reporting tools such as Power BI to analyse large datasets and deliver actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and financial modelling.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance teams.
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities that support business decision-making.
- Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA, with a desire to progress within a finance analytics function.
- Proactive, inquisitive and detail-oriented, with a passion for using data to drive continuous improvement and business performance.
Job Offer
- Permanent Risk & Controls Analyst position based in London.
- Salary of £27,000 to £33,000, dependent on the level of experience.
