Regional HR Manager – Europe
Responsible for leading a small team (1 HR BP, 1 HR Advisor, 1 Payroll Advisor) based in Stoke, with broad HR and payroll responsibility for this site and multiple sites across central Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all HR and payroll activity for the UK site and sites in central Europe.
- Strategic workforce and resource planning for the region.
- Manage and influence key stakeholders.
- Drive direct recruitment strategies to reduce agency spend and reliance.
- Support and coach managers on people and performance related matters.
- Manage HR systems to deliver effective HR reporting and analysis.
- Promote employee engagement and positive workplace culture.
- Maintain awareness of upcoming legislative changes (e.g., EU pay transparency, Employment Rights Bill).
- Lead on complex employee relations cases.
- Lead training and leadership development across the sites.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in human resources management within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships at all levels.
- Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
- A strategic mindset focused on driving organisational growth through effective HR practices.
- Proficiency in HR systems and data analysis.
- Relevant HR qualification.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A FULLY ON‑SITE ROLE IN STOKE AND WILL REQUIRE SOMEONE ON SITE 5 DAYS PER WEEK. THERE WILL BE EXCEPTIONS AROUND HOME WORKING ON AN AD‑HOC BASIS, AND THEY'RE VERY ACCOMMODATING WHEN IT COMES TO FLEXIBLE WORKING.
