The postholder will lead the strategic development, governance and delivery of the College Group's Management Information Systems (MIS) and data services.
The role is accountable for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and audit compliance of all learner data across Further Education, Adult Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education provision.

- Description
- Lead and manage the MIS function, including Student Records, ILR, timetabling, and data quality
- Develop and deliver the College's MIS and data strategy aligned to organisational priorities
- Set service standards, KPIs and performance expectations for MIS services
- Lead cross-college initiatives to improve data quality, process improvements and management reports
- Lead compliance with ESFA, GLA, Surrey Council and Of S funding and regulatory requirements
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of ILR data in line with DFE funding rules
- Oversee compliance with GLA/ Surrey Council / Adult Skills Fund (ASF) requirements, including residency, eligibility and evidencing
- Ensure robust management of HE data in line with Of S conditions of registration and HESA requirements (where applicable)
- Maintain audit-ready data systems and documentation to meet ESFA audits, GLA contract compliance checks and Of S assurance processes
- Interpret complex funding rules and provide expert guidance to curriculum
- Lead use of validation tools (e. g. SCORE, PDSAT or equivalent) and ensure timely resolution
- Act as the senior responsible officer for MIS-related audit and funding risks
- Monitor delivery against GLA and Surrey Council allocations and contract requirements
- Ensure data accuracy supports GLA and Surrey Council funding claims and reconciliation processes
- Support GLA and Surrey Council audits and compliance assurance reviews
- Work with curriculum leaders to ensure provision aligns with GLA and Surrey priorities and funding rules
- Ensure data systems support compliance with Office for Students (Of S) regulatory requirements
- Oversee accurate recording of HE student data, including enrolment, status and outcomes
- Ensure data supports key Of S performance measures, including continuation, achievement
- Lead development of a funding-informed curriculum planning model
- Ensure provision aligns with funding rules, eligibility criteria and performance targets
- Lead, manage and develop the MIS team
- Undertake performance management, appraisals and workforce planning
- Profile
- Experience of working in an educational environment
- Extensive knowledge of Curriculum Management, Timetables, Registers, ILR generation and examinations
- Advanced IT skills - including Outlook, Word, Excel, AI
- Database Programming experience
- Experience in communicating complex information to senior managers
- Experience of SQL and / or Oracle
- Experience in the generation and analysis of reports
- Experience of working with complex data from multiple sources
- Supervisory or staff management experience
- Knowledge of Funding methodology and audit requirements
- Knowledge of Pro Solution or other educational MIS systems
- Job Offer
- Competitive salary of £55,000 to £58,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- Permanent position in the Redhill area.
