To support its continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in heavy civil infrastructure to lead projects across the GTA and Southwestern Ontario.

Our client is a well-established construction management company with nearly 35 years of experience, primarily operating in the ICI and residential sectors. Originally based in Quebec, they expanded into Ontario in 2007 and have since secured several key contracts in the region. With a team of over 70 employees and continued growth, they recently opened a new division in Guelph, where they are managing multiple wastewater treatment plant projects.

Description

  • Lead and oversee water treatments and wastewater treatment facility construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered successfully and meet project specifications.
  • Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Conduct regular site visits to track progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Facilitate clear communication among all project participants, including clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and present project status updates to senior management and clients.
  • Identify potential risks and issues, proactively addressing challenges as they arise.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years experience in construction project management within a General Contractor in the ICI and civil sectors, particularly in water treatment and wastewater treatment facility projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes in the ICI and civil sectors, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Educational background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools.
  • Proven time management abilities to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
