Description
- Working closely with manufacturing, finance and other departments, the Project Buyer will identify, understand and meet the procurement needs for the site, ensuring materials, equipment and services requirements are procured at best value for the company.
- Develop and implement strategic procurement strategies.
- Identify and assess potential suppliers, managing relationships effectively.
- Monitor market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Manage and mitigate risks in the procurement process.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s policies and industry regulations.
Profile
The ideal candidate for this Project Buyer role will have experience in procurement in oil, gas, energy, chemical or engineering manufacturing sectors. They should be able to demonstrate success in managing commodities management across multiple project work streams.
