An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Programme Manager to lead the operational integration of an acquired manufacturing business into an established FMCG group.

This is a highly visible role requiring exceptional programme leadership, stakeholder management and manufacturing expertise.

Our client is a well-established FMCG manufacturer with multiple production sites and an ambitious growth strategy through acquisition.

Following a recent acquisition, they are looking to appoint an experienced Programme Manager to lead the integration of the acquired manufacturing operation into the wider group. This is a business critical appointment where you will work closely with the Board, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Commercial teams to ensure a successful transition.

Description

Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will take ownership of a complex programme involving the transfer of manufacturing product lines into existing UK production facilities, whilst ensuring business continuity, maintaining customer service levels and delivering operational synergies.

You will establish and lead the integration programme from mobilisation through to completion, coordinating multiple workstreams across manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, procurement, IT and commercial functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the end to end integration programme following acquisition.
  • Develop and manage the overall programme plan, governance, milestones, risks and dependencies.
  • Oversee the transfer of manufacturing product lines into existing production facilities whilst minimising operational disruption.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering, procurement, finance, IT and commercial functions.
  • Ensure continuity of customer supply throughout the transition.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, providing regular reporting to the Executive Team and Board.
  • Drive delivery of acquisition synergies, operational efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Identify and mitigate programme risks whilst managing issues through to resolution.
  • Ensure regulatory, quality and health & safety standards are maintained throughout the integration.
  • Support cultural integration of the acquired business into the wider organisation.

Profile

We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager who has successfully delivered complex manufacturing transformation or post-acquisition integration programmes.

You will ideally demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading large scale manufacturing integration or business transformation programmes.
  • Experience transferring production lines between manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong understanding of FMCG manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of production planning, supply chain, engineering and quality functions.
  • Experience working within multi site manufacturing environments.
  • Strong programme governance and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams and influence at Board level.
  • Experience managing programme budgets, risks and delivery against demanding timescales.
  • A structured delivery approach with the ability to remain pragmatic and hands on when required.

Please note that regular international travel will be required

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary ranging from £120,000 to £150,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • 12 to 18 month Fixed Term Contract.
