This is an exciting opportunity for a Production Team Leader to join an SME Manufacturing business based in Darwen, leading a small team of 5 production operatives. The business manufactures additives and powder coating.
Client Details: This business is an SME specialising in the manufacturing and production of pigments, additives and powders used in the colour coating of latex products. The business operates in Darwen using chemical processes and multiple production lines to ensure the optimisation of output.
Description: As the Production Team Leader your responsibilities are as follows:
- Manage daily production operations to meet output targets while ensuring product quality.
- Manage a team of 5 operatives across 15 production lines, with 3 running at any one time.
- Supervise and train production staff on best practices and safety protocols.
- Manage stock levels accuracy.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities as needed.
- Control the flow of products, materials, and supplies into and out of the business.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the production area.
- Support trials to enable development and validation of new product requirements.
Profile: A successful Production Team Leader should have the following:
- Experience in a team leader or supervisory position within a manufacturing business.
- Experience dealing with issues such as scheduling, labour, HR, and disciplinaries.
- Excellent ability to ensure stock levels and production output are accurately recorded.
