A Bookkeeper role focusing on maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations. This position is key to supporting the accounting processes and helping the business stay on top of its finances.
Description
- Take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping across the business.
- Manage the purchase-to-pay and order-to-cash processes, including invoice processing, payment runs, and credit control.
- Maintain accurate financial records through regular bank, supplier, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Process journals and assist with month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, and ledger maintenance.
- Monitor cash flow and support effective cash management across the organisation.
- Assist with VAT submissions, audit requirements, and compliance-related finance activities.
- Work closely with the Finance Director to improve processes, support reporting, and contribute to the smooth running of the finance function.
Profile
- Experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- An eye for detail and a methodical approach to work.
- A good understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
