This is an opportunity for a Mechatronics Engineer to lead electronic, hardware and embedded software design from concept through to validation on technically complex products. You will work at the forefront of new product development, combining electronics, controls and mechanical engineering within a collaborative engineering team.

Description

Key responsibilities

  • Support and drive new product design activity within the engineering department
  • Lead electronic and hardware design from concept, prototyping and validation through to production readiness
  • Design, test and fault find electronic systems for electric pumps, valves and control technology
  • Develop embedded software (C/C++) to support prototyping and functional validation
  • Build, execute and document test plans for controller and system functionality
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications and documentation for embedded systems
  • Create schematics and designs using CAD tools (Inventor) and support rig build/testing
  • Participate in and present formal design reviews to senior engineering stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross disciplinary teams including electronics, mechanical and controls engineers
