A hands-on Fitter / Welder position responsible for welding, fabrication, mechanical repairs and maintenance across recycling plant and site equipment. You'll play a key role in improving plant reliability, reducing downtime and supporting operational performance in a safety-focused environment. Client Details Our client is a leading recycling and resource recovery business operating a large-scale engineering and maintenance function. They are committed to safety, operational excellence and investing in their engineering teams. Description Carry out welding, fabrication and fitting work on recycling plant and equipment. Repair and replace wear plates, conveyors, guards, chutes, hoppers and structural components. Support planned maintenance, reactive repairs and continuous improvement projects. Follow permit-to-work systems, isolation's, hot work procedures and safety standards. Work closely with engineering, operations and maintenance teams to maximise plant availability.Profile Experienced Fitter, Welder, Fabricator or Maintenance Technician. Background within recycling, waste, aggregates, construction, manufacturing or heavy industry. Skilled in welding, fabrication, mechanical fitting and repair work. Strong understanding of permit systems, risk assessments and safe working practices. Able to work independently and deliver high-quality, durable repairs.Job Offer Salary of £35,000-£45,000 DOE.
