This position offers the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to larger groups, gaining exposure to complex reporting matters and group structures.
- Description
- Prepare statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and FRS 102 Section 1A for a range of clients
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for group entities
- Support audit teams with technical accounting and financial reporting matters
- Ensure accounts are prepared in accordance with relevant reporting standards and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with audit managers, partners and client finance teams throughout the accounts preparation process
- Assist with technical research and the application of evolving accounting standards
- Contribute to the development of processes, controls and best practice within the financial reporting function
- Support the growth of the team, with the opportunity to mentor and develop junior colleagues as the function expands
- Profile
- Qualified ACA or ACCA, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 102 Section 1A
- Proven experience preparing consolidated financial statements
- Background within audit, accounting advisory or financial reporting services
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
- Experience with FRS 101 and IFRS reporting would be highly advantageous
- Ambitious and keen to play a role in the development of a growing specialist function
