This leading Logistics & Supply Chain organisation are looking for a Finance Systems / Reporting Developer to join their growing FP&A team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in adopting, developing and enhancing their new Agentic AI enterprise financial planning platform (Pigment) from a technical perspective to support the delivery of high-quality financial planning, forecasting and reporting across the business.

You will join at the early stage adoption of Pigment with its integration with D365 Business Central, working closely with Finance and business stakeholders to build and maintain financial planning models and analytics capabilities. The role would suit someone that has supported a finance function in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics enablement (Power BI is also used) but is keen to be part of a new AI strategic adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning Model Development: Develop, maintain and enhance financial planning models within Pigment. Build scalable solutions to support budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning. Ensure planning models are accurate, efficient and well documented. Develop scenario and sensitivity models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with FP&A Manager/Commercial Finance Team to understand planning and reporting requirements. Translate business needs into effective planning solutions. Support Finance teams throughout budgeting and forecasting cycles. Provide recommendations for improving planning processes and model design.
  • System Administration & Continuous Improvement: Support the day-to-day administration of the Pigment platform. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve planning efficiency. Maintain model integrity, dimensions, assumptions and calculation logic. Participate in testing and deployment of new functionality and enhancements.
  • Data Management: Work with Finance and Data teams to ensure data quality and successful integrations. Investigate and resolve data or model issues. Support reconciliation of planning data against source systems. Promote good data governance and documentation.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Build dashboards, reports and visualisations within Pigment. Support management reporting through improved planning outputs. Develop ad hoc analysis to support commercial and strategic decisions.
  • User Support: Act as a key point of contact for Pigment users. Deliver training sessions and create user documentation. Provide ongoing support and guidance to Finance users. Encourage adoption of best practices across the planning process.

Skills & Experience

  • Essential: Experience within FP&A, Commercial Finance or Management Accounting function as a Business Intelligence Developer or IT Finance Systems Analyst. Experience using enterprise planning solutions such as Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Oracle EPBCS, SAP Analytics Cloud, TM1 or similar. Strong financial modelling and analytical skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, SQL / Python coding is desirable. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to simplify complex financial information. Experience improving finance processes through systems or automation.
  • Desirable: Experience with Pigment. Experience of data modelling or ETL processes. Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting tools. Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA - not essential).
