As a Financial Reporting Accountant in Sunderland, you'll handle the preparation and analysis of financial reports to support key business decisions. Your role will ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with regulations, helping the organisation operate efficiently.

Description

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse financial data to provide insights for management decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with auditors during audits and address any queries.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain and improve financial reporting processes and systems.
  • Provide financial advice to other departments as needed.

Profile

A successful Financial Reporting Accountant should have:

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A relevant accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.

Job Offer

  • Salary of up to 50,000, dependent on the level of experience.
