Job Description

  • Collection, validation, and preparation of procurement data
  • Supply market research, analysis, and benchmarking activities
  • Identification, engagement, and ongoing management of stakeholders
  • Participation in and support of stakeholder engagement sessions
  • Contribution to the development of tender specifications and requirements
  • Preparation and drafting of ITTs and RFQs using approved standard templates
  • Effective and efficient use of the WWU e-Procurement system throughout the tender process
  • Post-tender evaluation, analysis, and reporting
  • Support for and participation in supplier negotiations
  • Contribution to the preparation of contract award recommendations and documentation
  • Support for the implementation and onboarding of new suppliers and processes following contract award

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree-qualified and/or MCIPS-qualified procurement professional with broad, relevant experience and proven practical application
  • Strong understanding of EU procurement regulations, contract processes, procedures, and recognised best practice
  • High level of commercial awareness with the ability to apply sound business judgement
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and maintain effective stakeholder and supplier relationships
  • Proactive, focused self-starter who takes ownership and accountability for delivering against performance objectives
  • Capable of working independently using own initiative, while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team
