This Multi-skilled / Electrical Engineer role is responsible for maintaining, fault-finding and improving a range of industrial plant and processing equipment to maximise reliability and minimise downtime. Working closely with operations, you'll deliver planned maintenance, breakdown support and continuous improvement initiatives in a safety-focused environment.
As a Multi-skilled / Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the safe and reliable operation of plant and process equipment across the site. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance, electrical fault-finding, breakdown repairs and reliability improvements on equipment including motors, drives, conveyors, sensors, control panels and associated mechanical systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across site equipment.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance activities to agreed schedules.
- Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime.
- Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
- Follow safe systems of work including lock-off, isolation and permit procedures.
- Work closely with operations teams to improve equipment performance.
- Support statutory inspections, compliance activities and engineering standards.
- Identify spare parts requirements and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning projects.
A successful Maintenance Engineer should have:
- Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in engineering and manufacturing settings.
- A relevant qualification in engineering or a related field.
