As a Neighbourhood Services Operative in London, you'll help maintain properties and communal areas, ensuring everything runs smoothly for residents. This role is hands-on and essential to keeping the neighbourhood clean and safe for the community.

This Social Housing organisation is based in London and operates within the south London region.

Description

  • Maintain and clean communal areas, ensuring they are safe and tidy.
  • Carry out minor repairs and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Assist with waste management, including the collection and disposal of rubbish.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties and communal spaces.
  • Provide support to residents by addressing concerns or escalating issues as needed.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure smooth operations in the neighbourhood.
  • Help with the upkeep of outdoor spaces, including gardens and pathways.
  • Follow health and safety regulations during all tasks.

Profile

A successful Neighbourhood Services Operative should have:

  • Basic knowledge of property maintenance and repairs.
  • Experience of undertaking bulk, general waste and void property clearance duties.
  • Experience in cleaning, waste management or similar roles.
  • Valid UK driving licence with category C1 and ability to drive company vehicles as and when required.
  • Sufficiently numerate to manage stock control, check invoices and purchase supplies or equipment
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with residents and colleagues.

Job Offer

  • Hourly pay ranging from Β£11.00 to Β£13.00, dependent on the level of experience.
