A growing and dynamic organisation is seeking a Finance Operations Analyst to join their finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. Key Responsibilities:

  • Finance Operations
    • Support the day-to-day running of finance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
    • Maintain financial data integrity across systems including Sage and internal reporting tools
    • Identify and support improvements to finance processes and workflows
  • Accounts Payable & Expenses
    • Process supplier invoices and expense claims
    • Maintain the Purchase Order (PO) log and perform invoice matching
    • Manage Pleo and company credit card transactions
    • Ensure accurate coding to cost centres and accounts
  • Payments & Cash Flow
    • Prepare and manage supplier payment runs
    • Maintain and update cash flow forecasts
    • Ensure payments are made accurately and on time
  • Reconciliations & Controls
    • Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies
    • Maintain accurate ledgers and control accounts
  • Accounts Receivable & Credit Control
    • Raise and issue client invoices
    • Monitor aged debt and follow up on overdue balances
    • Handle customer queries and maintain strong relationships
  • Reporting & Compliance
    • Support VAT return preparation and reconciliations
    • Assist with cost centre reporting and financial analysis
    • Contribute to supplier rebate calculations and reporting

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with external payroll providers
  • Provide cover for incentive payment processes
  • Support finance system and process improvement initiatives

Profile:

  • Experience in a finance role with exposure to transactional finance and/or operations
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Experience using accounting systems (Sage preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator with a proactive, problem-solving approach
