A diligent and detail-oriented Materials Planner is required to join a manufacturing business based in Lincoln. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of materials to meet production requirements while minimising costs and delays. Client Details The client is a reputable company in the manufacturing industry and has a global footprint however their primary operations are based in Lincoln. Description As the Materials Planner you will be responsible for: Developing an effective material planning strategy to ensure optimal stock levels. Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. Liaising with internal departments to forecast material needs based on production schedules. Implementing measures to minimise material wastage and surplus. Maintaining accurate records of material supplies, orders, and costs. Addressing any issues or discrepancies in material supplies promptly and efficiently. Regularly reviewing market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations in all material handling processes.Profile The successful Materials Planner should have: Previously worked in a similar planning position within manufacturing – ESSENTIAL Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – ESSENTIAL Excellent communication and negotiation abilities – ESSENTIAL Proficiency in supply chain software and MS Office Suite – ESSENTIAL The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment – ESSENTIAL A degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field – DESIRABLE Job Offer An immediate start is available Temporary to permanent position Salary equivalent of £32k If you are a proactive, organised individual with a passion for supply chain management, we encourage you to apply for this Materials Planner position.
